The Team
Equip staff are a talented and experienced team. As you can see below, we employ many gifted people from wide ranging medical and professional backgrounds, all sharing a common commitment to quality, practical and fun wilderness medicine education.
Our Instructors have multiple skills and passions. Many have a background or current profession as Paramedics, Doctors, Nurses, Outdoor Professionals and Ski-patrollers. A combined skill base of medical/first aid experience, outdoor leading or guiding experience and a passion for first aid and education draws them to Equip (or we find them!)to instruct and be involved with Australia's leader in Wilderness First Aid for outdoor professionals and enthusiasts.
All of our staff are excellent educators who care about the students they teach. All of our instructors have been out there in the field - making the hard calls in the wind, rain, heat and snow. Making tough decisions, dealing with tricky and sometimes stressful situations and knowing how that can make you feel is what makes our Instructor's uniquely able to facilitate student learning, competence and confidence.
