James Thorp
James has spent 80 days this summer working on the Franklin River in Western Tasmania. This is idiosyncratic of his transient lifestyle, the stars as his roof, a backpack as his wardrobe. 11 years as an expedition guide has given james lots of patient care experience in the field plus a burning hatred for porridge and muesli-bars. His imminent horizon looks split between working as a trainer (OEG) teaching cert4 /diploma Outdoor Rec for Swinburne Tafe and paddling as many rivers and oceans until his arms fall off.
