LWFA-WFR Upgrade (3 days - 24 hours)

Do you have a current 7 day qualification from us? You may be eligible to UPGRADE your certification to the internationally recognized Wilderness First Responder (WFR - 10 day) qualification.

You must have a LWFA or LWFA qualification to be eligible to UPGRADE your certification to the WFR level. If your qualification has expired, even if you are in the grace period, unfortunately you can NOT attend this course

We do NOT reteach the content of the LWFA on the WFR upgrade, and therefore need to ensure your skills are fresh when you take this course. IF YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT OF YOUR LWFA SKILLS... WE SUGGEST YOU DO A RECERT COURSE BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS COURSE.

The WFR qualification is internationally recognised and respected. If you are intending to work overseas for Outward Bound, NOLS or other large organisations, you will be expected to hold a WFR card.

Being trained as a WFR in Australia means you have the highest level of wilderness first aid training in this region of the globe.

Added to the skills and knowledge you would have gained on your LWFA course, you will also learn:

  Upon successful completion of the LWFA/WFR UPGRADE course, your WFR certification will be valid for 3 years. To recertify your WFR, you can simply do our 3 day LWFA/WFR RECERT course. After your 2nd recert you will be required to complete another full WFR course to ensure that you skills remain at the top standard.
